The Troodos Mountain range dominate the western half of the island, from all but the most distant point of Cyprus the mountains are unmissable. From the shoreline they rise up in a steepening swell until it crests on the peak of Mount Olympus 1,952m high. The scenery as you wind your way to the summit is simply breathtaking.

Skiing in the morning and swimming in the warm Mediterranean Sea in the afternoon is a reality in Cyprus. With snow falling on the mountains between January and March, turning the pine forest into a winter wonderland.

During the summer months escape the heat of the south coast beaches with a trip into the Troodos visiting some of the quaint villages in the wine producing region and sample some of the Greek village hospitality. A visit to Lania is a must with its winding alley ways, shops selling local fine wines, arts and crafts. Sample the local cuisine in the village tavernas and coffee shops. There are waterfalls and picnic sites along the way, pottery shops and vineyards.

A visit to Troodos when in Cyprus is highly recommended.
